Profitero Launches Certification Program to Help Agencies Deliver Stronger eCommerce Performance for Brands

BOSTON and DUBLIN, 5 DECEMBER 2018. Profitero today announced the launch of its Agency Certification Program, making it easier for brands to work with qualified agencies, brokers and consultants that are trained to use Profitero’s digital shelf and Amazon sales & share analytics to execute “data led” growth strategies for eCommerce.

Ideoclick, content26, iProspect, minsterfb, Redslim, VMLY&R, Ebronext, Grey and Wunderman Commerce are among Profitero’s inaugural Certified Agency Partners. Brands that work with these agencies can expect a high level of proficiency in using Profitero’s analytics to improve all areas of their eCommerce program, from optimizing the ROI of Amazon Advertising campaigns to developing enhanced content in order to boost SEO placement and conversion for any retailer.

The findings of the 2018 Profitero and Kantar Consulting eCommerce Benchmarking survey underscore the essential role of third parties to drive eCommerce performance, with brands increasingly leaning on agencies to support critical eCommerce functions. 66% of brands surveyed outsource eCommerce SEO to agencies and 57% outsource content management. These two areas most require heavy specialization and are hard to build in-house.

“Digital agencies provide a valuable service by helping brands accelerate their eCommerce efforts beyond what they are currently staffed or experienced to handle right now,” said Vol Pigrukh, CEO and co-founder at Profitero. “With our Agency Certification Program, we are helping our customers get even more value from their work with agencies by ensuring that Profitero’s analytics are being used to their fullest potential to guide decisions. We’re proud to launch this program with such a respected roster of leading agencies in the digital space.”

“Becoming a certified partner gives us access to Profitero’s powerful analytics, helping us to measure and optimize performance for our mutual brand customers and drive better ROI on Amazon Advertising campaigns,” said David Hutchison, Director at iProspect.

“One of our favorite benefits of being a certified partner is our ability to tap into Profitero for new business work, allowing us to better understand category dynamics and how specific brands we are pursuing are performing across eCommerce channels. This allows us to build strategic marketing and commerce recommendations that are grounded in data-driven insights from day one,” said Zak Prauer, Group Director of Strategy & Data Analytics at VMLY&R.

“Profitero’s dashboard gives me invaluable insights that help deliver best-in-class content performance,” said Alyssa Sparza, Account Manager at content26. “By tracking our client’s content across marketplaces, we can quickly fill gaps and make adjustments to things like keywords and messaging as issues arise. This saves our agency time and saves our clients from lost sales.”

“As growth in traditional channels continues to shrink, eCommerce becomes an increasingly important focus – however measuring performance in this channel is not straightforward,” said Matt Lothian, Commercial Director at Redslim. “The partnership between Redslim and Profitero will help our clients get an even better understanding of eCommerce performance, creating dashboard reporting solutions to enable clearer strategic direction and better investment of resources.”

In addition to the Agency Certification Program, Profitero has launched its eCommerce Agency Directory, which lists more than 80 agencies, brokers and consultants known to provide eCommerce services. Agencies can be searched by geographical location or by area of expertise, and can also be searched by whether they are Profitero Certified.

Any agency can apply to be listed in Profitero’s directory and become a Certified Partner by going to www.profitero.com/agencypartner. The submission is free and brands can recommend their agencies for certification using the same link.
