E-commerce analytics company Profitero has been named a 2017 Gartner Cool Vendor in Digital Commerce. Five companies were evaluated and selected as Gartner’s May 2017 ‘Cool Vendors in Digital Commerce’ that are innovating in the areas of digital commerce, and which places a special emphasis on using data and commerce infrastructure to better understand and serve customers.
A study from Boston Consulting Group forecasts that more than 50 percent of consumer packaged goods sales growth will come from e-commerce by 2018. Profitero’s Digital Shelf 360 platform is well positioned to address this and help consumer brands improve their e-commerce performance. Profitero aligns digital shelf metrics with actual online sales, making it possible for consumer brand manufacturers to monitor and affect specific factors that will directly lead to increased online sales.
“We’re delighted to be named a Gartner Cool Vendor in Digital Commerce, which we believe validates our industry-leading approach to e-commerce analytics,” said Vol Pigrukh, CEO and co-founder of Profitero. “Profitero offers brands and retailers the most comprehensive insights into the e-commerce channel, enabling our customers to benchmark and optimize their products, grow sales online and give them a measurable advantage over competitors.”
Profitero monitors what shoppers see and buy online, actively tracking more than 450 million products across more than 5,000 websites globally, and is the first and only company to provide large-scale digital shelf measurements and online sales estimates to help manufacturers increase e-commerce sales. Because of the unique combination of digital shelf monitoring and Amazon sales and share, Profitero customers – including Barilla, Beiersdorf, General Mills, and L’Oreal – are able to correlate their online performance with sales data for their own and competitive products, and become much more effective in growing their sales online and increasing market share.
